From the Anthropocene to the Symbiocene or pathways to a life-sustaining civilization. This is the subtitle of the summer seminar of the Wandering University of Nature, which will take place in Prague from 12.8. to 18.8.2024

The main guest is Australian ecophilosopher Freya Mathews. But you can also meet a number of interesting actors in the local scene:

  • Eva Fraňková and Martin Čech will present the activities of the emerging non-growth movement
  • Lucie Sovová will open the topic of agroecological urbanism
  • Lucie and Brett Gallagher open the doors to their Prokop Farm
  • Elsa Šebková joins online from the Bolivian Amazon, where she is on a year-long training in syn-tropical agriculture thanks to the ECOTOP Foundation. She will try to present a sophisticated and science-based model of synthetic agriculture, but this time from a socio-ecological perspective. It will introduce you to the ideas of the new paradigm on which synthetic agriculture is based. And he will try to show, through short videos with Ernst Götsch, why a shift in thinking from competence and separation to cooperation and harmony is crucial to solving the current socio-ecological crisis and how to achieve a return to man’s true place within the ecosystem.

You can look forward to Elsa’s talk on Thursday 15.8.2024 during the evening guest block (19:00 TO 21:30)
